Class 2 Truck Licence
The class 2 truck license allows a driver to operate a vehicle up to 18,000kgs GV that has two axles.
This course requires a driver to have held a full New Zealand car licence for a minimum of 6 months.
The one-and-a-half day course includes logbook information, fatigue management, truck driving tuition and the driving test. When you complete the course you will have a full class 2 licence.
The trucks we use for training purposes are fully serviced and industry standard.
To Obtain your Full Class 2 Truck Licence
You must have held a Full Class 1 (Car) NZ Driver Licence for at least 6 months.

| PROCEDURE | |
| Step 1 | Go to your Doctor and obtain a Driver Licence Medical Certificate. Certificates are valid for 60 days from date of issue. |
| Step 2 | Options for obtaining your class 2 learner licence: Option 1 – Get a copy and study the latest road code for heavy vehicles. Option 2 – Contact us to make an appointment to use our study facilities. Option 3 – Go to www.drivingtests.co.nz or www.roadcodepractice.co.nz |
| Step 3 | When you have finished studying, go to VTNZ Kereiti Street Mt Maunganui or AA Tauranga or your local Licencing Agency and sit your class 2 learners licence. You need to take your medical certificate, drivers licence and evidence of your current address, ie. power or phone account not older than 6 months. Once you have passed the Class 2 Learner Licence test, you will be issued with a temporary driver licence. Please now contact us to confirm the course dates. |
| Step 4 | OUR CLASS 2 COURSE – consists of both theory and practical components, which will, when successfully completed give you your FULL Class 2 Licence. Allow 1 ½ days to complete the course. |

- 3 working days notice for cancellation of booking, late cancellation fee is $500.
- We do not accept credit cards and we do not have eftpos facilities.
